Certifications:  Certified by STOTT PILATES in the following:  Pilates Matwork (Level I), Injuries and Special Populations, Cardio Pilates, and Sports and Agility Training.

Experience:  A seasoned athlete, D.C.’s experience spans a lifetime of movement and sports.  His passions have included in-depth martial arts training, weight training, and fitness competitions.  During his tenure with the U.S. Air Force, he was involved in a worldwide competition with the emergency services team at Travis Air Force Base, CA.  In 2000, D.C. settled in Mammoth Lakes, CA, where he has participated in extreme sports including downhill skiing, backcountry hiking, climbing, cycling, waterskiing, and wakeboarding.  He has endured two major athletic surgeries as a result of his activities:  ACL and meniscus repair of the right knee and torn rotator cuff and biceps tendon repair of the right shoulder.  As a result of pursuing Pilates post-rehab, his body is now strong, balanced and uniformly developed even in the face of these life-changing injuries.

Training Philosophy:  “Pilates is a full-body workout resulting in uniform development of all my muscles.  The more Pilates I did, the more I wanted to do:  it became addictive because I felt so good.  I was struggling with getting back into the gym after my injuries.  Post-rehab with Pilates was the best experience of my life to the point where I decided to pursue a career in Pilates.”

Specialization:  Private Pilates Conditioning:  Energizing clients to help them dig more work out of their bodies than they thought possible.  D.C. has designed a brand-new hybrid weight training and equipment pilates workout that takes just 50-minutes.  He places a special emphasis on upper body and core work during a finely tuned workout to build overall body strength.

Hobbies:  Lead singer and rhythm guitar for local band “Almost Famous." Downhill skiing, backpacking/hiking, cycling, and Pilates!
